The wraith capiri split from its ancestor and is now half its size. Its beak has spikes that point downward, and a special spike for carrying food pointing towards the capiri. The cheek plates have also become spikes, along with that the chin has a spike and the underside of the head has a flexible protective plate. The tail now curls under the capiri and has large spikes that point upwards and smaller spikes that point downwards. The head and tail work together and act like a giant false jaw for attacking prey and tearing things up. At the base of the tail are a few massive spikes that are used to balance the creature, the spikes below the largest spike, the one that the sail membrane attaches to, varies in number. Their legs are also longer in proportion to their ancestors.

They live in groups of thousands, and will use their numbers to viciously overpower large prey. The wraith capiri prefers meat, but will consume plants if it has to. Like their ancestors they pair for life, and both parents care for and nurture the young. Also like their ancestors they love lolly poppy and its kin.
