Ancestor:Descendants:

The whorl replaced its ancestor, the grasperfish. It drags its 4 arms behind it. On each arm there are 2 feathery tentacles which each have hundreds of tiny stinging cells. These cells trap prey within them then absorb them within the feathery tentacles to eat. They breathe by taking in water in a hole in the front of the creature, which then is expelled via smaller pores near the tail. The large flagellum-like take wiggles in a corkscrew movement which causes it to swim in an ever turning corkscrew motion. It has no eyes or other senses and just swims around at random collecting food in its "nets". Each arm also has spiky hairs on it which also sting but do not absorb food like the tentacles.
