Descendant of Ancestor of

The walking hoverswent replaced its ancestor the hoverswent in the Southern grasslands and scrublands of Glicker. Since the skies were dominated by its relative the skyswent it adapted to a new diet of grasses. While it can still fly it will spend most of its day walking on its wings and tail browsing on grasses. It has developed stronger weight being wings and tail so it can walk on them. Its mouth is now very long and has a spiked tongue which can grab and grind up the grasses it eats. They have also become more social and will travel in herds to protect them from predators while eating on the ground. If theatended, they will take to the skies to escape. Like its ancestor it can still photosynthesize with its wing membranes. It uses orange photosynthesis which means it only absorbs blue light. They also have become hermaphroditic rather than asexual. This promotes genetic diversity within the population.
