The Volcansheet split from their ancestor Lithoamoeba. The volcanosheet became colonial and spreads in sheets around the Hydro Water Table cavern. Any colony will stay at maximum size of 2.5 cm and never exceeds that. The colony will cut off older cells from a food source, this would kill the cell or cause it to leave the colony. Since the oldest Cells tend to be in the center of a colony, this usually leads to colonies splitting entirely. Like their ancestors, the Volcanosheets uses psuedopods to gather inorganic material for food, but it also takes thermal radiation and converting it to energy, making the cavern a bit cooler (aprox. 2 deg. variation).
