Ancestor:Descendants:

The volcanic voltflora split from its ancestor coastal voltflora and made its way to Maineiac Volcanic Island. There it was able to grow to 10 times its ancestors size due to island gigantism. Now back on land its enormous size had to lay flat on the volcanic soil. Its roots go deep into the soil to find minerals. While not as rich in iron as the rest of Barlowe the volcanic soil still has an abundance of other minerals besides iron.

It no longer filter-feeds or uses wave power on land, however what there is an abundance of, is sulfur and geothermal heat. Its 3 main roots have converted the floating chambers into heat gathering organs. These organs convert the heat from the volcano into energy that can be stored in their main battery-like trunk to power its huge cannon-like barrel. The cannon-like barrel has also grown roots in order to help gather more nutrients from the soil.

Its photovoltaic leaves now face up so it can gather sunlight from both sides of the panels. During early life they mostly use their photovoltaic leaves and have no cannon. But one their root gets deep enough to collect geothermal heat it will grow its huge cannon-like barrel and rocket-like seeds. Each seed is shaped like a rocket with tailfins and a pointed nose. In the back of the rocket is a chamber that stores sulfur which can be used to propel the rocket even father after it shot out of the cannon-like barrel. The barrel still uses the same rail-gun like adaptions its ancestors have. However they typically only fire in the winter at night since the barrel gets very hot and thus can cool back off quickly without melting its own iron based cells.
