Ancestor:Descendants:

The visored capiri split from its ancestor and moved into the Barlowe Chaparral. The visored capiri is larger than its ancestor and possesses both stronger jaw muscles and a larger, stronger jaw. The 'false jaw' is now much more a part of its eating and hunting habits than its ancestor, as well. They are capable of snapping the neck of most of their prey (except, obviously, Walkingzillas) by using the downward force of their bite.

Packs have grown larger and are more organized, resembling roving communities more than small packs. Communication is handled through the flashing and moving of their whip-tendrils, though physical contact can also play a role in individual interactions. The super-pack, which is called a cag, is divided into individual groups of families that preform similar duties. The oldest coupled visored capiri are in charge of the cag as a whole making it a iugiarchy, which is a type of diarchy. However, the strongest and biggest male capiri are in charge of the hunting groups. If one of the iugiarchal figures should die then the next oldest, healthy couple will take over regardless of the health of the remaining capiri. Visored capiri mate for life, except if the coupling of two fertile adult capiri never produced an offspring (for whatever reason) before one of the pair died.
