This evolution of quatricelle parasitica became a complex, multicellular organism and acquired a soft, smooth body when it moved to shallow waters. Its great sting became a tooth-like appendage with which it feeds itself, assisted by its two tentacles. The animal has also developed a small tail, used to embed itself into the ground. Next to its tooth, two small ocelli have appeared to perceive small movements. Another small modification was the sprouting of small cilia, lined up throughout its body, which are used to swim when the uksip hydroidea abandons the ground.
