The turd plant stinger replaced the stumpworm sucker in the Somarinoa Beach area. It has evolved camouflage to mimic the turd plants in the region, and often hides among them or in them, waiting patiently to ambush prey smaller than itself. Since it often hides inside the plants, its eyes have degenerated only to be replaced by heat-sensing pits, which help it to distinguish prey from its own kind. The latter two claws on its body have shrunk, while the former two have grown larger and serrated. Its mouth-stinger has grown curved, to face in the direction of its larger two claws. It has grown to the size of a turd plant, to further its camouflage.
