Ancestor:Descendants:

The tuffchub split from its ancestor, the grassprint. It now lives an aquatic lifestyle and eats only the tuffdra which grows in the Hydro River and Hydro Bog. To live in these very cold biomes it has developed a lot of blubber. During the summer it will go south and feed on the abundant southern tuffdra while in the winter it will go farther north to eat the northern tuffdra which are not hibernating. Its butt-nostril can now seal up if submerged underwater and its feet have grown webs for treading water. Its coloring matches the water and mud of its environment. They live in groups of up to 10 members and are very slow on land. Males have a red-ish crest to attract females. They mate in the spring and give birth in the summer. In the winter when food is scarce they are very sluggish and depend upon mostly photosynthesis and fat-reserves to survive.
