Ancestor:Descendants:

The thornlip replaced its ancestor, the shroom-thief plent in Huggs Taiga. Its main compedators are the norat and geistrat, however its more aggressive personality and larger size can scare them away from their precious "shooms". It uses its claws not only for digging up "shooms" but to fight off competitors or predators.

They live in a very cold environment and have thick blubber to keep them warm. They have evolves thorny spikes on their lips in which they use to fight each other for mates as well as defending themselves. During the winter they will hibernate in burrows they have built until spring. During the shorter days of the year they depend mostly on "shrooms" for energy but during the warmer summers they will use photosynthesis more.

Their smaller eyes "see" scents and they can track the smell of "shroom" slime for miles. Their ears are very sensitive as well and can avoid predators before they see them. They are solitary creatures and only meet to mate during the summer or to fight over territory. Males will have their own home ranges while females can travels freely between them. To mark this territory they will vomit on bubble arches.
