The thermoworm replaced its ancestor, the soma lardworm. It has doubled in size and lives much liked its ancestor did. It eats anything dead and rotting. It no longer can fly with its wings. However it now uses them to help heat up its body faster. The dark blue wings absorb solar heat, thus allowing it to be active longer. They lay their eggs in the ground near rotting carrion. Once the eggs hatch the larva will eat the carcass until they mature. Once mature they will leave the carcass to feed on other carrion and find a mate.
