Ancestor:Descendants:

The symbioship diaminet replaced its ancestor, the diamiboard. Due to the success of the symbioship superorganism dominating the seas surface it had to adapt. Rather than trying to beat it, it joined it. They now grow their red-fungus like roots out of each of the corners of their chitin crystal. They connect together like a net. They will grow off the sides of the symbioship shrubite and connect all the way across like a giant fishing net. Since it is on the under side of the symbioship superorganism it is in the shade all the time and has lost its photosynthesis. However has gain the ability to absorb organism that get caught in the net.

It has strong enzymes that excrete from the red fungi-like roots and will dissolve anything that gets caught in them. In addition they work together with the symbioship numballs which grown on the red fungi-like roots but are immune to the symbioship diaminet's digestive enzymes. The symbioship numballs release a paralyzing chemical which quickly stops the prey from struggling. In turn both species get to eat whats caught in the net. Most species between 15 cm to 1 m get stuck in the net while anything smaller flows through and anything bigger can break free.

Due it it living under the water all the time its spores are no release in the water rather than the air.
