The switchblent looks exactly like its ancestor, with one critical difference: it has gained to ability to slightly rotate its branches and curl them up. They do this automatically in response to finding the best way to photosynthesize. This process is called phototropism. The switchblent grew stimuli inside to branches to provoke this action. It is also able to slightly rotate the leaves themselves, making this process even more effective.
It has also grown taller, due to the moisture inside the temperate forest, making it tower above most other plants.
