The swarmer plague spit from its ancestor the green gumph. It has specialized in infecting swarmers and their decedents. It stays dormant in the water until it is ingested by its host. It will work its way to the swarmers reproductive organs and cause them to become infertile. Thus spawning ends up with infected offspring that are dead. It was so deadly that it caused the following species to become extinct; leaping swarmer, sphrin, aqua swarmer, grelter, wavescooper, floating pea and sun swarmer. Once all hosts died went extinct as well since none of them could reproduce anymore. In addition the grelter in the atmosphere died out since they nor longer could reproduce in the sea.
