The sunrorm split from it's ancestor and returned to the sunlit surface. They have modified their filter throats to inflate when they approach plumes of organisms. This sucks them into their throats. Their insides have changed too. Their ancestor are all just made up of layers of cells that cover a cavity of digestive fluids. When they produced waste products, they would simply secrete it out of pores. Now, they concentrate the pore to the front of their bodies, using it as a deterrent against predators.
