Ancestor:Descendants:

The strainbean eater is a large organism that has replaced it's ancestor in the Jujubee Open Ocean It doesn't float freely in the air anymore, as they grew heavier. Only the top part is exposed out of the water (the gas bladder and the breathing orifices). As this species evolved, they found that strainbeans were a great source of energy, and thus relying on them for food exclusively. The strainbean eater's eyes are not stalks anymore, they receded into the head and grew bigger to take in more light. In the socket of the eye, there are muscles that turn the eye to a different direction, helping to detect a strainbean. It's camouflaging abilities give it a great advantage when hunting. The strainbean eater can look like as if it is non-existent by changing it's color to match that of the water. When an unfortunate strainbean comes below, the strainbean eater's strong manipulative tentacles grasps it and the four ancestrally ambulatory tentacles wrap around and constrict the strainbean, assuring no escape. The strainbean eater may experience a mild shock, however, it isn't fatal to it (most of the time). The powerful beak then starts biting into the flesh. When it has its fill with the kill, the strainbean eater doesn't simply eat it and throw it away. They retain the kill, and then munching on it again when they become hungry. Strainbean eaters hold the kill for a week. When mating, the carrier flashes with many colors in order to attract a mate.
