The standing piloroot split from its ancestor and moved into Barlowe Tundra where it forms soft waving fields that cover the dry ground. They actually have several leaves that wrap around each other and stiffen to stand up, when dirt is kicked into them from fauna passing by they slowly absorb it. Their bright blue fruit is easily seen by herbivores that posses eyes which allows them to spread so well. Their fruit is no longer hollow and is now filled with tough but sugary flesh to attract herbivores into eating them.
