The sprinting pedesrom split from the pedesorm. Because it lacked any real defences; it developed one. When the sprinting pedesorm is threatened, it will run for its life. Its legs are more muscular than its ancestor, increasing its speed. The sprinting pedesorm also is capable of jumping over small obstacles.It has lost its shell because it wasn't very effective. In its place is a primitive chitinous endoskeleton. The skeleton provides the sprinting pedesorm's muscles with attachment points. As of now, it has a spine, pelvis, and leg bones. The sprinting pedesorm also has developed toes to increase its traction and small claws, which are sometimes used to (ineffectively) climb and cut flora. The claw on its trunk is somewhat sharper and is capable of cutting flora. However, it isn't very effective and is too blunt to cut predators; but it still is at least somewhat effective at cutting through flora. Because of how long it takes to cut up flora; they are constantly looking in all directions with their flexible eye-stalks. If a predator approaches it while it is cutting up plant matter, it runs for its life. It is now too fast to be caught by the karybdos. The Sprinting Pedesorm is both an herbivore and a detritivore. It eat whatever it can find. In areas where its cousins, the poison pedesorm and the pedesorm live, it primarily eats vegetation, but wherever there is less competition with other detritivores, it primarily eats detritus, dung, and corpses.
