---|---|
Having split from its ancestor, the spotted bandersnatch has since doubled in size and has become fully bipedal. An omnivorous species like its ancestor, it still eats bitter beachballs but has begun to expand its diet by evolving to feed on new flora. Still a highly reproductive species, its numbers are only kept in check by local predators. They have developed their frills and now use them to attract mates as well as to photosynthesize along with their "wings". Some have begun to snatch eggs out of the nests of other creatures as a supplement to their diets.
Note
The name Bandersnatch comes from two poems by Lewis Carroll, "The Hunting of the Snark" and the "Jabberwocky".
