The spitting shocker split from its ancestor. Some diamiboard shockers moved into Bone Swamp from Soma Coast and then spread to all the Huggs and Bone waterways. Not much has changed from its ancestor except the way it avoids predators. When the spitting shocker is in danger, they produce an electrically charged "bile-mucus" in its stomach and then expel it from its mouth to distract the would be predator with sparks as it gets away. Its prong-teeth now have a sheath of skin covering them, acting as a pouch to hold the bile-mucus and as a funnel for greater accuracy. If some of their prey is putting up a fight, they can also use the mucus to distract it long enough for it to land a paralyzing bite. Its dorsal eye has also rotated to help with aiming.
