The solarworm split from the twelve-winged worm. It is now a detritivore in Flisch Temperate Forest; there were not many other creatures there but of those there were there was lots of waste. It keeps the small forest clean and its only predator is the flying dart. However, its wings have fused together and are used for collecting heat from the sun: this heat warms up the worm so it can stay active longer, but because the wings are heavier so they can no longer fly. They can be used to swat at the flying darts to keep them away, however. They also have gotten bigger.
