Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, the snowprint became an expert at scavenging in the tundra. Their feet have evolved to spread out the weight so much, they leave only very light foot prints behind. This allows them to sneak up on predators and steal their kills. Its rear spike has now fused with its "wings", which they use to attract a mate. They also use this to communicate with one another by folding and reopening them at different intervals. They prefer to eat the highly nutritious marrow of the bones they find, though they are both fully capable of and will eat entire carcasses, leaving nothing behind. Because of this, they have a highly efficient immune system in order to combat potential diseases that could be found in carcasses, though at the same time this makes them dangerous disease carriers. Their barbels contain scent detecting sensory cells which aid them in locating dead corpses. When young, they possess a spike on their back to ward off potential predators as well as a darker coloration in order to stay warm as they traveled with their parents. Upon reaching sexual maturity within three years, they lose the spike and develop their adult coloration. They uses their sails to scare away predators.
