Ancestor:Descendants:

The snapperswimmer split from its ancestor, the snapperworm, and evolved to have longer fins, more suited for swimming in water. It no longer uses the parasitic diet its ancestor did, and now has adapted to a more carnivorous diet and will resort to eating just about anything small enough if the need arises. The snapperswimmer has become better adapted to its underground habitat.
