The slider snoa split from its ancestor and evolved to the polar environments of Barlowe Polar Scrub and Barlowe Tundra. To help retain heat they have a stout body with lots of blubber. Their crest has shrunk to help retain heat. Males have a red crest while females have a black one. They have a black back to help absorb heat and a rusty red belly to blend in with the red rusty soil of Barlowe.

They mostly move around by sliding on their bellies and pushing with their back legs. However they can stand upright and move in a waddle as well when there is no snow to slide on. Like their ancestors they are carnivores. They can partially digest iron fauna such as tundra rustling. However they will vomit up the excess iron.

They now travel in small flocks and will defend themselves from large predators by snapping their sharp beak or vomiting up foul smelling iron fauna vomit. They mate in the winter and give birth in the summer. They will have 2 to 3 offspring, however usually only one reaches adulthood. They are cared for by their parents until winter. They must grow fast during this period so they spend the warmer months bulking up for the winter.
