Splitting from its ancestor, the sleepy scuttler lives along the coast of the continent of Dixon, blending in with the white sand that is to be found there. Sluggishly crawling along the seafloor, they lazily pick at whatever catches their interest. When they find something edible, they will gorge themselves before retreating to burrows and holes in order to temporarily hibernate. Once they wake, typically within a few days to a week, they will seek a mate and then spawn. They will then set out once more in search of food while their microscopic larvae make their way through the plankton blooms, feeding and growing as they do. They will soon settle upon the bottom themselves, usually within several weeks, and will then begin the cycle anew.
