Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from the ovimari, the shellimari has grown in size and has developed a more carnivorous diet. Coming out at dawn and at dusk, it hunts down smaller species and uses its poisonous bite to paralyze them. Its "arms" have begun to split down the middle into two tentacles, while a paper thin shell has begun to cover its back. Its "feet" have shrunken and are beginning to fuse together into one large powerful foot, and its eyestalks have begun to shrink. The shellimari are capable of controlling the muscles within their foot to such a degree that they can cause undulations along it, effectively allowing them to slide over the ground.
