The serpungo replaced its ancestor on Western Dixon. In order to better escape predation, it has become more aquatic. It's body is more muscular, with thicker muscles on the tail to use as a fin for swimming and steering. While it will go onto land to sun itself and give birth to its young, it will not venture far for the safety of the water. Other than these changes, it is the same as it's ancestor.
Individuals live for 10 years. Individuals take 1 year to mature, but take 5 years to attain full size. The serpungo's gestation period is 3 months and the female gives birth annually.
