The scaled saltail replaced its ancestor, the saltail. It was so successful on the beach of Huggs island that it caused the Sailyp, Zuphinki and Giant Sailyp to become exinct on the beach. The reason for this is thrives in salty environments, thus pushing the other purple flora to the interior of the island. It can store a lot of water and its scaled leaves and trunk help keep it in and protected from herbivores. Any excess salt is expelled out of the leaves, which makes it unappetizing to pakahes. It has the same reproduction system as its ancestor.
