The savanna dunghorn split from its ancestor, the dunghorn. It has not changed very much from its ancestor except it gone inland to the savanna. There it adapted to look like the dung of savanna creatures and will lay its eggs in puddles during the wet season. Like its ancestor it rolls around in actual dung every now and then to keep it looking and smelling like real dung.
They use their small graspers to take the dung to the mouth instead of using the olfactory sensors since using the sensors decreased their sensitivity along with their usefulness. They move very slowly and are hardly noticed by larger creatures, this way predators don't even know they are there.
