The salt buffel split from its ancestor, the salt grass. Due to its high reproductive rate and the fact that the salt grass lived near the BioCat region, the salt buffel had no problem with colonizing into the BioCat Tropical Riparian and the BioCat Salt Swamp. Along with moving into the BioCat region, the salt buffel has evolved by becoming twice its ancestor's size and developing numerous leaves all over the top, which allow it to spread more rapidly than its ancestor. But other than these changes, it is much like its ancestor.
