The salmunduses genus group has replaced its ancestors the pentasalmundus and other single celled salmundus descendants on Sagan 4. They are a group of detritivore microbes that help keep the world clean of dead species. They come in a variety of geometric shapes raging from triangular to pentagons to hexagons. These cells can sometime form colonial species when the food sources are abundant. They are immobile and can be found in every biome, be it on land, the the water or under the ground. They also are very simple and reproduce via binary fission.
