The sailcells genus group replaced its ancestors, the sailcell, ocean sailcell, golden sailcell, and mistcell. They all have one nucleus and are able to absorb energy from cyan and purple light along with organic particles from photosynthesis They are primarily found looming above bodies of water as they form small clouds of purple and yellow until nightfall. These are quite important for aquatic ecosystems.
