The Royal Doubleshroom split from the Supershrooms genus group. They have grown much taller and have a double cap. Under the edges of the cap are bead-like chains of pink berries. Before the berries form they develop sweet smelling nectar puffs that attract pollinators like xenobees. When they rub against these puffs the spores stick to them and thus can be spread to other nectar puffs. While similar to flowers, they do not have any petals, and are white and fluffy like a cotton ball. On the top of the higher cap are special shallow pores that allow Hikerflora inside. The Hikerflora get protection from the elements and receive nutrients from the shroom. In return the Hikerflora excrete excess sugar that helps the shroom grow larger and produce more berries than normal. The berries taste like strawberry lemonade. The yellow Hikerflora make the top cap appear golden and is why its called "royal". As detritivores they can live where ever there is rotting organic matter, but they do extremely well on herbivore dung. Their berries help attract these herbivores to defecate nearby. Except for their berries, they have no pigment, so their coloration is of whatever they are eating. Usually, this makes royal doubleshrooms' color black or brown.
