The rocky bandersnatch split from its ancestor and now dwell in the Dixon rocky biome. They moved to this location because there were less competition for food here from their relatives as well as other herbivores. They have evolved better grabbing claws on their feet as well as regained the long lost suction feet of their distant ancestor, the rustlicker. For the rocky bandersnatch however, there are multiple small suction-cups under each of the back feet. They have inherited their ancestors social behavior and now live in small family groups almost their entire life, only the males will leave the group at a certain age, often together as a group of brothers, to look for other groups so that they can try to fight of the dominant males of that group and become the dominant males themselves.
Each family lives in small sheltered caves or underneath rocky outcrops to shelter them from the worst weather. The females of the group will go searching for food and bring this back to the group by eating it and then regurgitating it. The males will fend off rivaling males and patrol their territory to make sure no males trespass as well as keeping a look out for predators. They have evolved better front claws for grasping which they use to both fend off potential threats as well as harvesting their food source. They have also inherit their ancestors ability to spit stomach acids should they need to as well as their ancestors ability to feed on the painballs by using the same technique their ancestors use.
