The river uksip replaced its ancestor, the colonial uksip. Due to so many other predators on the plains it has developed an amphibious lifestyle scavenging for food. Its webbed fin has now been reused to help propel its self in the water but can also walk a bit on its clawed tentacles. Like its ancestor they work ins small colonies and will search for food together as well as share each other. On the banks of the river they will make a community burrow in which to lay and protect their eggs in. In this large large communal 'brood burrow' and the developing larvae are brought sustenance by the whole family. The compound eyes have improved to look out for predators such as the plenteron as well as see in the dark burrows. Its skin color is now brown to blend in with the brown muddy river bank.
