The river cone split from its ancestor and grew in size, they are now twice their ancestors size but that is pretty much the only difference there is between the two, that and the fact that they now live in open water. They drift aimlessly through the water as they photosynthesize and reproduce by asexual spores that are spread directly into the open water.
