Ancestor:Descendants:

The river assimilation floralgae split from its ancestor, assimilation floralgae. It adapted to the fresh water of Russ River and Russ Marsh where there was an abundance of microscopic black flora. It added another pair of petals to help it absorb more sunlight.

Like its ancestor, it produces a special cell that detaches from the center of it. These cells latch onto other black flora microbes and convert their DNA to river assimilation foralgae. This caused them to thrive! So much so, that it replaced all other microscopic black flora within Russ River and Russ Marsh. This includes; torus balgae and circle balgae. Black flora which were not microbes were not affected. Also black flora hybrid species which had the DNA of other microbes and were still microscopic were not affected either due to their DNA being too different.
