Due to pressure both from overcrowding and predation, the speckled spinderorms of the Maineiac coast were put under a large amount of strain. The population took advantage of the newly emerging qurals as a new home. They live within the qurals, camouflages against the tentacles. They have developed a prehensile tail, which they use to hold on to the qural. They are mostly sedentary, relying on the currents generated by the qurals to help them feed. In return for the qurals shelter, the quralrorms have developed stinging nematocysts that they use to ward off predators for both themselves and the qurals. The reproduce like their ancestors, releasing microscopic buds from specialized tissue in their "nose"-like region.
