The pukai replaced its ancestor the poison armororm. It save energy its now has become immobile and sits vertically in the gray sands of Jujubee Polar Sea. Its tail has hooks that anchor it into the sand. Their gray coloring help them blend into their surroundings so predators cannot find them. Their fins have atrophied and they no longer need to be poisonous. However they do taste bad. They have lost their bioluminescent tails due to it being underground.
