The puffkin stinger replaced the stumpworm sucker in the Huggs Beach area. Its skin has changed color to blend in with the puffkin shrub's gourd, which it hides inside. Its main prey is the puffkin scuttlecrab, but it will prey on other small beach fauna if there are no puffkin shrubs in the immediate area. The three prongs on its tail have degenerated to only two, since it is used more like a stinger than a grabber now. It has grown in size as a result of its successful hunting technique.
