Ancestor:Descendants:

The polyfoi replaced its ancestor, the blue sucker foi. It has gotten even smaller and has developed a 3 stage life cycle. First it starts out as a spore that is inhaled by the azularian. Once it gets into the gills the larva will hatch from its spores. These larva resemble its distant ancestor the sceletus gurgito, but red in color. They then eat the blood cells within the gills. When they eat enough they will mature into adults where they will become much like a normal blue sucker foi feeding on the skin of its host. However they lack eyes and have gained a spore siphon. This squirts out spores so its offspring can travel to another host.
