The plated swarmer has split from its' ancestor. It has evolved a new adaptation. Because it had no defenses, the plated swarmer evolved many cellulose plates (for which it was named for) for defense against predators. However, it is still susceptible to large filter-feeders. It has grown larger; another defense against predators. The two fins are jointed, and could bend as well. With the armour plating covering the skin, it no longer relies on photosynthesis.
