The plains uktank split from their ancestor. They have spread to the beaches and plains of western Drake. Their top beaks are act as hocked trunks, which they use to dig flora off the ground and into their mouths. Like its ancestors it will store up water in its hollow shell. The shell quickly fill up with water in holes and then are sealed off via a skin-like membranes once they come to land. Their strong legs help carry the weight of the water. They do this in order to have water to breathe. Their skin has mucus membranes that keep them moist on land.
