The pioneer glassbud replaced its ancestor the pioneer glasstalk. It has developed a small stem and has adapted to live in higher latitudes. Like its ancestor its has large strong roots which it uses to break apart even the most tough soil and allow for the growth of the nitrogen fixing microbe called the nixus to live in inside the roots. As a result it also spread not only spreads nixus, nitritus, nitratus and denitritus wherever it grows.
