Replacing its ancestor, the pink bottomscraper has regained its three-eye configuration from its distant ancestor and tilted them foreword slightly, in order to have depth perception. These eyes also have the ability to detect basic colors, allowing it to steer itself towards waters tinted red in color from red salt moss. It tends to travel in loops along the lake bottom, using its tentacles to stir up the mud so it can filter feed it for microorganisms and dead creatures. To this end it has increased in size in order to be able to consume more, and has also increased the size of its fins to better move itself about.
