Ancestor:Descendants:

Pakko split from its ancestor, the golden pakahe. It has gotten even smaller and eats only the caps of the islandshroom. It has evolved a second tail fin to help attract mates. They will flap their leaves and wiggle their tails in an elaborate mating dance; the flashiest dance will get the mate. Its leaves are too small for it to fly so it will crawl up the "shrooms" using sticky footpads. It no longer burrows in the ground and will hang upside down on the underside of the islandshroom caps to sleep. Like its ancestor its saber-shaped spikes act as teeth and can rip away the outer surface of the islandshroom caps. During midday they will spread out their leaves to collect sunlight and get a boost of energy for afternoon mating dances.
