Ancestor:Descendants:

The ovi muckraker split from tis ancestor the rusty muckraker. It now lives only in freshwater and no longer to out to sea to reproduce. Like its ancestor its coloring blends in with the rusty-red soil of Ovi Polar River. They sift though the mud to find food. If a predator comes by they can bury themselves under the mud. However they still have a small stinger on the end of their tail to defend themselves as well.

They will mate every full moon and live short lives of only a few years. After mating the female will lay their spores into the mud. Juveniles appear as miniature versions of the adults when the hatch. They lay many spores since the majority of them to no reach adulthood.

Their soft spongy organ located just behind their head has gotten bigger with 2 huge yellow lobes. The lobe appear yellow because of their cobalt based blood. Like their ancestors, these lobes allow them to "see" the bioelectric byproduct produced by all living things. On their backs are small patches which produce "flashes" in order t communicate with each other during matting. Their wider heads enhance their echolocation and they can detect the vibrations with more accuracy.
