As the orbiflor spread, it soon began to grow near the edges of the rain forest. With the increased water and nutrients available, the orbiflor grew rapidly and much larger than it had previously. Like all flora in the rain forest, the tallest survive, and so the successful orbiflor developed into the orbitree, a tall tree with flowering spheres.
