The oceanic false-larval sauceback split from its ancestor and moved into the ocean, it floats suspended at the surface of the water taking in air through its snorkels. Its eardrums point downward and are ever alert to prey moving in the water, it's limbs are now powerful clawed weapons nearly as long as its own body, they allow it to easily kill prey larger than itself. When it notices a victim it uses its powerful tail to descend upon it, it will wrap its limbs around the hapless organism and repeatedly puncture it with its tusks and tear the flesh apart with its claws. On its limbs, and carapace are also sensitive hairs that allow it to sense minor motions in the water. If in danger it will flash the bright skin on its inner limbs in an attempt to scare away the predator before fleeing.
