The norat split off from its ancestor. Unlike its ancestor, the norat is able to swim and its butt-nostril has become something similar to snorkel. They have also become slightly bigger, in fact it is approximately as big as a rat. The other minor changes it went through include a diet with a lot of variety, teeth that are much stronger, and a better climbing ability. They also produce about 6-8 babies since they are commonly eaten by many predators.
One significant change it went through is the immune system becoming very powerful, in fact every time they are introduced to a new disease, after a week or so, they are immune to it. This also causes them to be carriers of disease.
Another adaptation is that they are very social. They have evolved from simple families to large groups that look out for each other. This means that grandparents look out for their grandchildren, mothers help raise their nephews, and cousins protect each other, in easiest terms this means that everyone helps each other. Whenever a group of norats becomes too big, some of the norats leave the group and start their own.
One of the ways they help each other is that when they come across a new food, one if the norats takes a sample of the food. and if it isn't sick, everyone shares and eats the food. This also means they have developed a bit of an ability to judge.
However, the most unique evolution is that they have developed ticklish skin and are able to laugh. Their laughs are high-pitched squeaks. However, as it gets older, it gets less ticklish. All of these adaptations make it one of the most adaptable creatures on Glicker.
